The firmer supportive infant side is very firm as most medical experts recommend for infants. The less firm, more comfortable toddler side is also firm but, a little less firm than the infant side. Square corners ensure a snug, safe fit in all standard American cribs and toddler beds. Mattress is 5" thick.
