Product is ready to go right out of the box. Included in the package are two sets of earphones so mom and dad can listen at the same time for a true bonding experience with the unborn baby. For best results, Manufacturer suggests using the monitor on or about the 16th week of pregnancy. We highly recommend placing the monitor directly on the belly (Not over clothing or any other obstructions). In addition, it is highly recommended to use a lubricating gel to avoid static etc. (Gel not included)
